Breakfast Waffles - Fluffy waffles for Sunday breakfast

Is it possible to give waffles their own blog entry? One can! Especially if everything is just right. And what's better for a sunny and quiet autumn-sunday than some fresh, airy-light waffles with maple syrup?!

But from the front:
I once had a waffle iron.
So one in heart shape. As probably everyone has at home. I used that maybe once or twice a year. But somehow it was always boring. And I convinced myself that it is quite time-consuming and laborious. I was not the biggest fan of these thin, soft waffles now, especially since my waffle iron was obviously of inferior quality and browned unevenly. So it was disposed of in the course of one of my dung-out actions.
And I got wistful ...
Waffles are kinda great. You can eat them with cream or vanilla ice cream and hot cherries. Or sprinkle thickly with powdered sugar. Or just enjoy with butter and maple syrup.
So I needed a waffle iron again.
But not just a heart-shaped thing, but a real waffle maker. One that makes fluffy, thick, crunchy big waffles. Square waffles!
And so last week, a new electric appliance moved in with me, which can make two fluffy, thick, crispy and big waffles in no time.
And that became Today, on a beautiful sun-sunday in the fall with American breakfast waffles inaugurated.
And that's how I imagined it!
Now I'm happy again, my waffle melancholy was quenched and we had a scrumptious breakfast!
Here's my recipe for crunchy on the outside, inside airy-loose waffles that can soak in syrup ...
